I am a homeroom teacher and a grade 7 team lead at Brookview Middle School in North York, ON. I have been teaching (as well as coaching various sports) for over 10 years, more specifically, 6 years with the Toronto District School Board.

I’ve had the privilege of travelling overseas to South Korea (2011-12) to teach English in rural areas and since then, have attained my AQ Specialization in Teaching English Language Learners. As a young black female mentor, Urban Education is one of my greatest passions, guiding youth to look beyond their present challenges (poverty, poor influences, language barriers, etc ) and see their full potential both in & outside the classroom through culturally relevant pedagogy; that is my number one focus in my commitment to student learning.
