I am a passionate and enthusiastic individual looking to maximize the second chapter of my life, as I like to call it.
I’ve worked as a Public Servant for the past 16 years. During that time I was very active in the Equity also well as the Diversity portfolios, inside and outside of the workplace. I am a single-parent of one child that graduated from university last summer and she got a job straight out of school. This feels like my time to really do some reflection of what is important to me and what will make me happy.
Pouring my heart and my efforts into supporting my community resonates with me. It just felt like the right thing to do and I could feel it to the core of my being. Personal growth as well as having a community focus is where I like to put my energy and efforts now that my daughter is grown.
My friend/business partner, Michael Samuel and I having similar backgrounds and interests, felt there was a need for a platform that we could help unite Black Business Owners, Entrepreneurs and Talent with the intention of helping to build wealth within the Black Community. Initially, we intended just to focus on Canada. Within months we received requests from people all over the globe.
My aspiration is to run Blacks Inspire full-time. It’s a platform to help Black Owned Businesses be successful, be sustainable and gain influence and power amongst the overall global community; through education, community economics and collaborations. I hope to be of service to many and serve them well, inspiring one another to achieve greatness.
Best Regards,
Sharon Fletcher
