O’Neil Thompson has been an elementary teacher for the past 7 years. His brief teaching career has brought him across 3 different school boards (Halton, Peel, and Toronto). His experiences have allowed him teach in several different communities, and to teach students of many diverse cultures. For the past 5 years, he has taught Grade 7 Math & Science at Darcel Avenue Senior Public school in Malton (Mississauga). He learned that building positive and authentic student relationships can help to engage reluctant learners. O’Neil is a proud graduate of York University Faculty of Education’s, Urban Diversity Program.
