Michelle Hughes has a varied and diverse professional and community background.

Professionally, she currently works for the Schulich School of Business (York University) in the Graduate Admissions office (MBA and other Business Masters programs). She hopes to see more representation from the Black Community in the programs in the near future.

Her professional past includes travelling the world as an International Seminar Leader, working in the Career Services industry for educational and not for profit institutions, and conducting workshops on a variety of topics. Including developing a African and Native Canadian program at the York Youth Connection camp. Co Founder of Ebony Toastmasters and a Public Speaking Coach.
