KAREN REDWOOD – SOCIAL WORKER
Karen Redwood is a graduate of Bethel Bible College, Jamaica where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology (Hons.) She holds a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology (Hons.) from the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, Jamaica. She also completed certificates with distinctions in Supervisory Management and Speech Writing and Public Speaking from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica.
Karen comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience. For seven (7) years she worked with HEART Trust/National Training Agency (NTA), for the South Western Region, comprising Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth where she served as Career Development Officer, Employment Facilitation Officer and Senior Career Development Officer respectively. Mrs. Redwood has also served in Jamaica as lecturer at Bethel Bible College, Jamaica Theological Seminary (JTS), and the International University of the Caribbean (IUC). Karen has volunteered many hours also to the Victim Support Unit in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Her teaching experience spans over twenty (20) years from the primary to tertiary levels. She has been intricately involved in community building and church planting in Jamaica.
Karen and her family migrated to Canada a year ago. Presently, she works as a Social Worker with Kinark Child and Family Services-Syl Apps Youth Centre in Oakville, ON. She is a powerfully anointed preacher and has developed a reputation as a gifted and inspirational speaker at numerous formal and social gatherings. She is also a committed counsellor.
