I began my university career at the University of Saint Francis Xavier in NS majoring in human kinetics. I played on the varsity basketball team there and was a part of the back to back national championship teams there. I finished my degree at the University of Ottawa where I also played basketball. After taking a year off to work as a kinesiologist, I went back to school to do my masters degree at Queens University in physiotherapist. I finished my basketball career there while completing my studies.

After graduating I took a trip around the world for four months. After that, I began my career as a physiotherapist and worked at three different private clinics before venturing off and buying a private clinic to work at and run. I continue to work at my own clinic in Napanee ON where I treat an array of injuries and offer many exciting treatments to those in need. I am a big believer in incorporating mind body and spirit into my practice and I am living proof that with hard work and a no quit attitude, anything is possible.
