DR. KIM S. DANIEL, PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Kim S. Daniel received her PhD from McGill University, and she completed her pre-doctoral internship at Surrey Place Centre in Toronto, working with individuals with differing developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism, Down syndrome etc). She completed a postdoctoral clinical fellowship at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, working in the Paediatric Clinical/Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine Division with both in-patients and out-patients (specifically within the Haematology/Oncology Division).

Dr. Daniel also works in private practice At CBT Associates of Toronto, where she provides cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents, adults, and families who are dealing with grief and loss, health issues, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues and other difficulties. Lastly, Dr. Daniel is an adjunct professor at Adler school for professionals, where she teaches students how to apply cognitive behavioural therapy when working specifically with children and adolescents. Dr. Daniel is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA).

Her main goals and aspirations is to give back to her community whereby she is able to apply her many years of experience and education in supporting a diverse clientele, (children, adolescents, and their families) with differing health, developmental, and physical disabilities. As well, she has a vast interest in supporting individuals with severe emotional, behavioral, social and cognitive problems that negatively impact their overall health and level of functioning across all environments (e.g. home, school, and their community). By dedicating her efforts to children, adolescents, adults and their families and by promoting the maintenance of health and the treatment of illness, Dr. Daniel hopes to make significant contributions within the Psychology profession.
