Dorothy Vernon-Brown is a veteran marketing strategist and coach, helping small business owners and entrepreneurs, identify, grow and retain their best customers using modern online marketing tools.

She is passionate about creating value and delivering results to her clients.

Dorothy has worked locally and internationally in top notch financial services organizations and was instrumental in growing a start-up money market company by over three hundred per cent (300%) in the first three years.

She is the founder of AKB² Small Business Marketing; a Mississauga based marketing company committed to making online marketing uncomplicated and results driven for local business owners.

When Dorothy isn’t delivering value to her clients, she spends time creating awareness and actively recruiting young healthy black men and women, 17-35 to become potential stem cell donors for leukemia patients in dire need of a stem cell transplant. She is the co-founder and vice- chair of Donor Drive 4 Dorothy Inc. (www.donordrive4dorothy.org), a non-profit Canadian organization.

Dorothy is a former board member of the Toronto based, Canadian Association for Women Executives and Entrepreneurs (CAWEE) and past president of BNI Elite, Mississauga.

She is the 2015 recipient of the prestigious Woman of Honour Award, presented to women who have made significant contributions to the black community. This award is given by the highly regarded Black Business Professional Association (BBPA).

Dorothy is an official CN Tower Edge Walker.

Dorothy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Social Sciences and History and a Masters Certificate in Marketing Communications from the Schulich Business School, York University.

Dorothy is married to Glenmore with two (2) adult children – Alexandre and Anya-Belle.
