Deon Malcolm-Tewarie is best described as a passionate educator, who has taught for 17 years. She currently works for the Toronto District School Board as a grade 6 teacher.

Deon has recently completed her two (2) years tenure as Chair for the Community, Culture and Care Committee at her place of work. Deon studied at the University of Technology, Jamaica; where she earned her Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed.) with honours. Subsequently, she furthered her academic career at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, and received her Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA).

In her spare time Deon loves to bake pastries and read. For the past Six (6) years she has volunteered with “Free the Children” to help alleviate child poverty worldwide. She currently holds the position of Administrative Assistant for the Kingdom Care Department at Kingdom Life Ministries.
