AMANDA IRVING, SOCIAL WORKER
Amanda attended the University of Windsor where she completed a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Sociology (specializing in Criminology courses).
Amanda has worked as a Child and Youth Worker in a group home, a Corrections Officer in an open custody youth detention centre, a Youth Anger Management counsellor and for the past four years, as a Child Protection Worker, at the Children’s Aid Society. As a Child Protection Worker, Amanda investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect and works with families in order to enhance the well being of the family. Although child protection can be a very challenging area of work, there are some very rewarding aspects and the learning is endless; never a dull moment.
