My name is Natalya Walton, and I currently work as a Quality Assurance Manager at one of the top five major banks in Toronto. My current role requires me to support a team of quality control officers who performs quality assurance testing to assess operational and design effectiveness of key processes.  I am a part of the first line of defense group for control execution related to operational risk programs, regulatory compliance and resolution of identified control gaps.

My career journey is not typical or perfect but it has helped shaped who I am today;  I am a dedicated, driven, dependable, passionate, team player who is not afraid to work hard to achieve a goal. I started off my journey at the University of Toronto enrolled in the Forensic science program.  During my time at U of T, I began teaching science as a part time job and found passion in education.  I changed my program to be focused in Psychology and Sociology with the intent of going to teachers college.  Before graduating, I was given the opportunity to join the banking industry in sales and customer service in a call center and decided to it try out while I finished my last course.

In joining the bank, I began to quickly learn of the vast opportunities, departments and possibilities if I stayed, worked hard and invested time.  In my 7 years with the bank, I have been a representative in a call center, a team manager, a relationship manager of Quality Monitoring and now a Quality Assurance Manager.  Each role has required different skills, challenged me and kept me motivated to go above beyond.  I look forward to the many more years I will have with this great cooperation and the positive impact I will be able to have on the corporation and its customers.
