Dominica Hannaford is the Coordinator for the Black Community Advisory Council Mentorship Program at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel; she joined the team in December of 2015. This role affords her the opportunity to work with children, youth, families and volunteers, in assisting Match friendships.

She has a passion for youth empowerment, and also values the power of mentoring to help young people excel through supportive relationships. Having benefitted from the influence of a strong role model and mentor in her own life, Dominica went to school in the US on an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Detroit Mercy.

She graduated with honours and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; minoring in Women and Gender Studies and African American studies.
