Born, raised and educated in the Peel Region, Cheri is an active member of the community; volunteering over the years on a variety of youth related Boards and Committees. Including the Diversity Round Table, Peel Youth Village, ACORN community Network, Boys and Girls Club of Peel, Family Education Centre of Peel etc. A Graduate of Human Services Administration Diploma Program, with 15 years’ experience as an Employment Counsellor & Community Development Specialist.

Cheri currently works for the local government, the Region of Peel and is an experienced trainer/ facilitator who enjoys empowering individuals to guiding themselves to success. She has guided students through employment counselling, co-op placements, volunteer placements in partnership with the YMCA, Summer Jobs Service, Operation Spring Board, Sheridan College and Children’s Services.
